WORK SESSION AGENDA ITEM NO. 1 <br />March 12, 1997 <br />TO: Steve Sarkozy <br />FROM: Steve North <br />SUBJECT: LAKE OASSO TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATION <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council, in July, 1996, appointed the following members to the Lake Owasso Task <br />Force: <br />Gary Wood (Chair) Sheila Prok <br />Deanne Anklan Jim Stark <br />Peggy Egli Jim Vanous <br />Lewis John Gramer Betty Wolfangle <br />Kate Linder <br />The Task Force began meeting in September, 1996 and concluded in March. The Task <br />Force decided to focus on three primary issues: legal, safety/enforcement, and <br />environment. To that end, the following appeared before the Task Force: <br />Mitch Converse <br />Peterson, Bell, Converse, & Jensen <br />Dick Fowler <br />President, Lake Owasso Association <br />Kim Elverum <br />DNR Boat and Water Safety Coordinator <br />Terry Roesler <br />DNR Boat Staff Specialist <br />Doug Biehn <br />Ramsey County Sheriff Water Patrol <br />Ed Musielewicz <br />Natural Resources Conservation Service <br />
