Eligible Challenge Grant projects include: <br />For Delegated Counties <br />* Inventory Development -Counties applying for funds to conduct inventories should <br />design the project to fit terms of the MPCA Feedlot Inventory Guidebook, June 1991. <br />* Further implementation of the county feedlot program. <br />* Information and education efforts. <br />* Monitoring and assessments <br />For Non-Delegated Counties <br />* Developing and implementing a delegated feedlot program. <br />* Conducting a feedlot inventory. <br />* Monitoring and assessments <br />Note: Cost share projects are not eligible for Feedlot Challenge Grant funding. <br />Note: Applicants may not submit similar proposals for LWRPMP and Feedlot Challenge <br />Grants! <br />/ Application Evaluation. <br />LWRPMP Challenge Grants -All applications will be evaluated and scored by aninter-agency <br />team according to established challenge grant criteria in rule. (See pages 19 and 20.) <br />Feedlot Challenge Grants -All applications will be evaluated and scored by MPCA staff. MPCA <br />will make funding recommendations to the BWSR. <br />/ Application Submittal. All applications, for both LWRPMP and Feedlot Challenge <br />Grants, are to be submitted to your BWSR Board Conservationist by July 1, 1998. Late <br />applications will receive lower funding priority. Do not send your applications to the MPCA or <br />BWSR Central Offices. For LWRPMP Challenge Grants, 10 copies of your application must be <br />submitted. For Feedlot Challenge Grants, 5 copies of your application must be submitted. <br />4 <br />
