Ron reported that DNR has made progress on the <br />weed control issue in the Worthington and Windom areas of the state. DNR is also making <br />progress on the goose issue in the metro area. Ron reported that DNR is working on the budget <br />preparation process, and DNR is forming another RIM committee. Ron stated that the media has <br />been the recent watchdog scrutinizing DNR's government spending. <br />Committee Recommendations <br />Kanaranzi-Little Rock Watershed District Revised Watershed Management Plan and Okabena- <br />Ocheda Watershed District Revised Watershed NSanagement Plan -Glenn Annexstad stated that <br />these watershed management plans are unique because the county, soil and water conservation <br />district and watershed districts are working together on the plans. Glenn reported that the <br />** southern sub-committee met and recommends approval of the revised management plans. Moved <br />98-47 by Glenn Annexstad, seconded by Allan Oehlke, to approve the Kanaranzi-Little Rock <br />Watershed District Revised Watershed Management Plan and the Okabena-Ocheda Watershed <br />District Revised Watershed Management Plan. Motion passed on a voice vote. <br />Nobles County Comprehensive Local Water Plan -Allan Oehlke stated that the Nobles County <br />Comprehensive Local Water Plan is also unique as the watershed district, soil and water <br />conservation district and county worked on this plan. The southern sub-committee met and <br />'''t recommended approval of the plan. Moved by Allan Oehlke, seconded by Glenn Annexstad to <br />98-~ approve the Nobles County Comprehensive Local Water Plan. Motion passed on a voice vote. <br />Chair Roer commended those involved for the coordination. of their plans. <br />Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed District Revised Watershed Management Plan -Marv <br />Tripp reported that the southern sub-committee met to review the revised watershed management <br />~ plan and recommends approval. Moved by Marv Tripp, seconded by Sharon Clark, to approve <br />98-49 the Lac qui Parle-Yellow Bank Watershed District Revised Watershed Management Plan. <br />Motion passed on a voice vote. <br />Lake County Water Plan -Barb Uppgaard reported that the northern sub-committee reviewed the <br />~* Lake County water plan and recommends approval. Moved by Barb Uppgaard, seconded by <br />98-50 Ginny Imholte, to approve the Lake County Water Plan. Motion passed on a voice vote. <br />Chair Roer called for a break in the meeting at 10:40 a.m. The meeting reconvened at 10:~~ a.m. <br />New Business <br />Approval of FY99-00 Conservation Easement Program Work Plan -Tim Fredbo explained that. <br />the 1998 legislature appropriated S 15 million for the RI~1 Reserve conservation easement <br />program. LCMR reviewed the work plan in June. Tim summarized the work plan <br />for the S 1 ~ million appropriation. Moved by Ron Nargang, seconded by Lee Coe, to approve the <br />
