BWSR Meeting Minutes <br />August 25, 1998 <br />Page Sis <br />Crow River Watershed District, he distributed "Aquatic Update" the Lake Association's <br />newsletters and other information regarding the watershed district. Ray introduced Mark <br />Deutschman, Ph.D., consultant with Houston Engineering, and reviewed Red Lake Watershed <br />District and Wild Rice Watershed District non-point implementation activities. Jerry Bennett, <br />administrator of the Wild Rice Watershed District presented a systems approach to water <br />management. Kathy Draeger was introduced, project manager for MAWD, presented an <br />evaluation of watershed based water quality management funded by LCMR and the McKnight <br />Foundation. Chair Roer thanked the presenters for coming before the Board today. <br />Upcoming Meetings <br />Ron Harnack stated that the next BWSR meeting is September 23, it will be held in Room ~ of <br />the State Office Building in St. Paul. This meeting will focus on local governance, with <br />presentations from various states. This meeting is an outgrowth of "Crosscurrents" which <br />suggests eliminating barriers, the presentations will do that as they concentrate on watershed <br />issues. <br />Ron stated that the BWSR meeting in October will be a tour of southeastern Minnesota on <br />October 2S, with the meeting in Lanesboro on October 29. <br />Glenn Annexstad adjourned the meeting at 3:05 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathleen Roer, Chair <br />
