All of the proposed street reconstruction
is within the GLWMO boundaries and are served by existing storm sewer. Retrofits are being
considered to the Woodlynn/Woodbridge neighborhoods and the Sandy Hook Drive storm sewers
to increase storm water treatment prior to discharge into Lake Owasso.
b. 2000 West Owasso Boulevard Reconstruction
Roseville's capital improvement program includes funds to reconstruct West Owasso Boulevard
from Victoria Street to the Shoreview/Roseville border. Shoreview will also reconstruct their
section of West Owasso Boulevard in 2000. It is likely that this project will include the
construction of a multi-use pathway and improved storm sewer system. Efforts will be made to
construct a new storm water treatment pond to treat runoff before it enters Lake Owasso. More
details regarding this project will be forwarded to the Board as they develop.
c. Prince of Peace Senior Housing Proiect
The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, located at the southwest corner of Victoria Street and
County Road C, have proposed to construct approximately 50 units of affordable senior housing
adjacent to Roseville's Central Park. The current proposal, which received Planning Commission
approval, will include the construction of NURP ponds to treat site-generated run-off. The current
plans are quite conceptual and do not yet contain adequate detail regarding the proposed storm
water system. If this project receives conceptual approval from the City Council, pond details will
be prepared.
2. Major developments/projects within Shoreview affecting the GLWMO:
a. Community Center Underpass
The trees and landscaping around the underpass are part of the Enhancement Project and will
completed in the spring.
