t~ <br />September 16, 1999 <br />Jim Haertel, Water Management Specialist <br />Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources <br />One West Water Street, Suite 250 <br />St. Paul, MN 55107 <br />RE: Watershed Management Plan Grant Application <br />Dear Mr. Haertel: <br />The Grass Lake Watershed Management Organization (GLWMO) Board, at its September 16, <br />1999 meeting, approved the attached resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement <br />between the GLWMO and the State of Minnesota to receive funds to aid in the preparation of <br />GLWMO's Second Generation Watershed Management Plan. A detailed workplan outlining the <br />preparation of the Second Generation Plan is also attached. <br />Please consider this letter an application for a planning grant in the amount of $15,600 to aid in <br />GLWMO's Second Generation Plan project. The total cost of the project, as outlined in the <br />workplan, is $114,425 -thus qualifying for the maximum grant amount of $15,600. <br />The GLWMO board is grateful for the support, both technical and financial, offered by the <br />Board of Water and Soil Resources and looks forward to working with you as its Second <br />Generation Plan is developed.
