proposed watershed district. However, of particular note is that Washington County is <br />nearing completion of a Water Management Governance Study. If the Study is completed <br />in March or April, as projected, the results should be considered in the possible <br />establishment of a watershed district. Although there are concerns about the management <br />of water resources in these areas, it appears prudent to delay the hearing for up to three <br />months in order to consider the results of the Study. Staff recommend the Board order an <br />Establishment Hearing to be scheduled by the Executive Director in accordance with the <br />timely conclusion of the Study, but not later than June 30, 1999, per the draft Order <br />(attached).
