Metropolitan Council, April 13, 1999, Local Water Management Plan Grant. <br />B-2 The Board reviewed the following correspondence sent by the GLWMO since the <br />meeting of October 22, 1998: <br />1. Correspondence was sent to Shoreview Residents regarding the quality of Lake Owasso and <br />Snail Lake in comparison to other Shoreview Lakes, and what residents can do to improve <br />lake quality. <br />C. REP®RTS <br />C-1 Water Management Planning -Kickoff Discussion <br />The Board discussed their expectations for GLWMO's 2°d Generation Plan with representatives <br />of Barr Engineering and staff. The Board stressed the importance of setting reasonable water <br />quality goals for all lakes and major ponds and wetlands as well as developing a classification <br />system for all water bodies. Another important aspect of the proposed plan was to develop a <br />system to evaluate the performance of both GLWMO and member Cities. It was noted that <br />BWSR and other agencies are concerned about WMO's ability to manage water resources and <br />will be very interested in this aspect of the plan. Staff and the Consultant agreed to develop a <br />more detailed scope of work for Board consideration on July 22, 1999. <br />D. OTPIER BUISNESS <br />D-1 Summer Meeting Schedule <br />Stark moved that the following summer meeting schedule be adopted: <br />Thursday, January 28, 1999 <br />Thursday, April 22, 1999 <br />Thursday, July 22, 1999 <br />Thursday, October 28,1999 <br />Soderbeck seconded. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 <br />D-2 Use of E-mail for Distribution of GLWMO Meeting Agenda <br />Keel presented the possibility of distributing future agenda packets by E-mail. Staff will send the <br />next agenda both electronically and in hardcopy form for the next meeting. <br />E. ADJ®URNMENT <br />Landwehr moved the meeting be adjourned at 7:4~ p.m. Soderbeck seconded. <br />Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 <br />
