This
memorandum presents the conceptual evaluation process for the Board to discuss at the next meeting
(February 3'~). Once the Board agrees on the concept of what should be measured and how, the evaluation
process will be included in the second generation plan.
The evaluation concept has two tracks: trend analysis and performance analysis. The trend analysis will
demonstrate water quality and other significant trends at selected lakes and ponds. The performance
analysis will evaluate the implementation of maintenance plans, capital improvement plans, and other
items. More discussion regarding trend analysis and performance analysis are presented in the following
paragraphs.
Trend Analysis
The WMO will use the water quality data it collects for Lake Owasso, Lake Wabasso, Snail Lake and
Grass Lake to track water quality trends. The water quality data and trends will be compared to the
WMO's water quality goals and reported to the cities (and the public?). The cities will collect water
uali monitorin data and track trends for other selected water bodies in their communities '.~.':.~, t~~"".
q tY g ~.;'u;,
~~a~~ ~~h~~ch~~~, A ~~ ~ <, ._ The water quality data and
trends will be compared to the cities' water quality goals and reported to the WMO and citizens.
