Surveys conducted by Ramsey County Public
Works on 6/84 and 6/90. All other surveys were conducted by MN DNR field staff .
No surveys have been conducted since 1991. All surveys provide information regarding the presence or absence of
certain plants, but not all surveys provide information about the abundance of aquatic plants. As a result, it is
possible to make inferences in reference to whether certain species have changed, but it is not possible to comment
regarding whether overall abundances, densities or areal coverage has changed. Thus, it appears that some of the
native pondweeds have disappeared during the 1980s.
Eurasian watermilfoil has not been identified in Lake Owasso.
