In a letter dated May 3, 2001 the BWSR stated: 1) The wetland protection and management
ordinance should be integrated with other local controls, 2) The GLWMO should develop a
mechanism to ensure regular reporting of the report card results to member communities, citizens
and review agencies, 3) The WMO should consider assign education into the annual list of
expenditures by incorporating it into the implementation section of the plan.
The GLWMO final Plan dated June 5, 2001 included changes in Plan related to issues defined in
final draft plan review letter. The Plan does fundamentally comply with Minnesota Rules 8410
and the fundamental planning expectations articulated by BWSR.
CC: Mr. Steve Woods, BWSR (file copy)
Mr. Marcel Jouseau, Metropolitan Council
Mr. Tom Balcom, MDNR
Ms. Gene Soderbeck, MPCA
Ms. Betty Wheeler, MDH
Mr. Mark Zabel, MDA
Mr. Mark Maloney, GLWMO - City of Shoreview
Ms. Karen Chandler, Barr Engineering
Enclosed:
Executive Summary
December 15, 2000 BWSR Initial Plan Review Letter
May 3, 2001 BWSR Final Draft Plan Review Letter
F:~Projects~Phil\GRASSLA\Subcoinmittee packet.doc
4
