Till~es Easement Approval
A component of the Tinges Office Building project (Permit #02-03) required the relocation of a section of
County Ditch 18 (Kohlman Creek). The District's Watershed Management Plan allows far relocation of
previously-ditched and altered sections of the drainage system if the construction meets District design
requirements, and if a permanent easement is provided to the District. The easement being recommended by
staff has. been developed with the assistance of the City of Maplewood staff, District staff, and the project
sponsor.
Motion: Roger Lake moved, Bob Johnson seconded, to approve the Agreement to Modify Easement between
the District and Paris Realty LLC as it relates to the route of County Ditch 18 through the Tinges Office
Building property, and to authorize the President to sign it. Motion carried.
NPDES Phase II MS4 Application
Cliff presented the application that must be submitted to MPCA by March 10. Discussion was held on the
components of the accompanying Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) that must be submitted
by May 7. The system maps have just been completed by Barr Engineering, showing location and. description
of each District system or ditch that conveys water. The information on each structure is in a database that
will be used to develop an inspection schedule and reporting system, which. is one of the requirements for
permit compliance.
The finalized SWPPP will be brought back to the Board for review at the April meeting.
10. ADJOURNMENT
Motion: Bob Johnson moved, seconded by Pam Skinner, to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 p.m. The motion
carried.
Respectfully submitted:
Robert Johnson, Secretary
Page 5 March 5, 2003, RWMWD Minutes
