Letters of invitation have been sent to each of the chief elected officials and floodplain
administrators of the communities within the County. We encourage you to attend, and hope
you also extend this invitation to members of your staff or community who may have a special
interest in floodplain mapping, such as representatives from planning, building, zoning,
environment, resource management, GIS administration, and emergency management and public
safety. You may also wish to notify other agencies that serve your community such as area plan
commissions, county health departments, soil and water conservation districts, and watershed
districts.
.~
Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated, and the outcome of this meeting will help to
ensure that an accurate and comprehensive scope of work is developed for the County's flood
hazard mapping project. If you have any questions about the meeting or the mapping project,
please contact, Lee Traeger at 312-408-5538 or by email at lee.traeger@dhs.gov.
Sincerely,
,....w
Lee Traeger
Project Engineer
