1 <br />J informational purposes. None of the park amenities are proposed for <br />construction at this time. It is recognized that improvements in the park area <br />north of South Owasso Boulevard. may have impacts to wetland habitat and <br />€. <br />will require coordination with and permit approval from the Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources and must also comply with the rules and <br />requirements of the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act and federal Clean <br />°1II Water Act. <br />EJ 1.1.2 Stormwater Treatment <br />~. Existing stone sewer in this segment of the project area serves South Owasso <br />Boulevard and approximately 126 acres of residential development to the <br />south as shown on Figure 3. <br />Currently, stormwater runoff is discharged, untreated, to the wetland <br />immediately north of South Owasso Boulevard. This wetland complex <br />discharges directly into Lake Owasso to the north. Lake Owasso (56P), and <br />-~ the associated wetland complex between .the lake and South Owasso <br />~,; Boulevard (62-137W) are .public waters under the jurisdiction of the <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. <br />~_ <br />i_ <br />~. <br />~® <br />K~ <br />r <br />J <br />g ;.~ <br />I <br />i <br />i <br />:~ <br />>. <~ <br />Most of the contributing area (104 acres) is discharged into the wetland at the <br />intersection with Galtier Street. The eastern segment of South Owasso <br />Boulevard and approximately 12 acres of residential. area is discharged into <br />the wetland at Marion Street and approximately 10 acres of residential area <br />discharges into the wetland near Farrington Street. The discharge point at <br />Farrington Street also includes treated runoff from a Stormwater pond located <br />north of the point where South Owasso Boulevard turns to the north, just <br />west of Farrington Street. These existing storm sewers are all shown on <br />Figure 3. <br />Discharge of untreated urban runoff has resulted in sedimentation of the <br />wetland area north of South Owasso Boulevard.
