Date: 04/28/05 Item Description: GRASS LAKE WATER MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION AGENDA ITEM Prepared by: Mark Maloney Item: D-2 Other Business 2005 Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District The Board has previously identified portions of the GLWMO work program to be out-sourced for 2005. A detailed scope of services has been negotiated with Cliff Aichinger, District Administrator for Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) (copy attached). The Scope reflects work organized into the following 6 areas: • Planning, evaluation and support services • Web site review and update materials • Review of Water Quality Data • Public Education Assistance • Locate/evaluate potential GLWMO projects/partnerships • ShorelinelHabitat Monitoring The proposed Scope of services is consistent with prior directives of GLWMO as far as areas of priority, and reflects the recent dialog between Board Chair Mogg, Public Works Director Maloney and RVVMWD Administrator Aichinger. Mr. Aichinger is scheduled to be present to answer any questions concerning the proposed scope of services for 2005. The value of the proposed services for 2005 is estimated. as $9,900; the proposed. scope includes a detailed cost breakdown. of the services in the above areas. The estimated cost of the proposed services compares favorably with the adopted 2005 GLWMO budget and appears to be the most realistic and cost-effective way of delivering those portions of the GLWMO work program. It is recommended that the .Board approve the. proposed scope of services and authorize. a formal .agreement with Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District for 2005 services.
