Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts <br /> <br />December 2 -December 4, 2004 <br />Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center, Alexandria, MN <br />Introduction <br />The MAWD 34th Annual Meeting & Trade Show is <br />offering a strong seminar program to help meet your needs <br />as a watershed district official or key watershed district <br />partner. Our program includes four general. concurrent <br />sessions and a concurrent technical session for a total of <br />fourteen different seminars. We will start off the Annual <br />Meeting with our traditional N'elcame Reception on <br />Thursday evening on the trade show floor. Door prize <br />opportunities will again be part of the MAWD Trade Show <br />format. <br />MAWD is also offering two special day long sessions prior <br />to the start of the Annual Meeting on Thursday, December <br />2nd. They are Minnesota Drainage & Natural Resource <br />Enhancement and a New Managers Orientation Workshop. <br />MAWD encourages all new managers (two years or less <br />experience) to attend the new manager workshop. <br />Find registration materials for these workshops in this <br />packet. <br />Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center <br />Reservation <br />An Arrowwood reservation form is enclosed. Room rates <br />are for a party of 1 - 4 persons. Meal packages are priced <br />per person. <br />Please note: <br />gIotel reservation deadline -November 19th. <br />Registration <br />This packet of information includes the materials you will <br />need to participate in the 2004 Annual Meeting & Trade <br />Show, December 2-4, 2004, at the An•owwood Resort and <br />Conference Center, Alexandria, MN. <br />All persons attending the Annual Meeting should check in <br />and pick up their name tag and. agendas at the Association's <br />registration table on the Trade Show floor. Arrowwaod <br />Lane is .4 miles. <br />A Registration <br />The MAWD registration sheet is to be filled out and <br />returned by November 26th with your registration fees <br />to: Minnesota Association of Watershed Districts <br />540 Diffley Road <br />St. Paul, MN 55123-1601 <br />Registration fees are $75.00 per person, spouses/guests are <br />exempt. Late registration (postmarked after November <br />26th) fees are $100.00 per person. <br />If you are attending for the day only on Friday, you must still <br />send in the MAWD registration form and registration fee to <br />the MAWD office. You must also check in at MAWD's <br />registration table for your name tag and other information. <br />The MAWD Board wishes to remind members that. water- <br />shed districts are not permitted. to cover expenses for <br />spouses and guests. This is in accordance with recent State <br />Auditor findings and the Minnesota Constitution which <br />states "taxes shall be uniform ...and shall be levied and <br />collected for public purposes." <br />
