What do you enjoy most about living on the lake? ~ , `
° g _ i.f
3. How do you/have you used the lake? (check all that apply)
Fishing Observing Wildlife
Boating/canoeing/kayaking Water Sports
Swimming Ice Fishing
Scenic Viewing Other (Please specify):
4. Because Lake Owasso is a relatively fertile lake, there will be some plant growth in the
lake. Many types of aquatic plants are good for lakes. However, some aquatic plants can
create nuisance conditions.
_ -~ ~ _
In general, do you consider aquatic plants to be at a nuisa`r~,e levels (e.g, they restrict ~ `
your use and/or enjoyment of the lake)? If so, which lake uses described in question #3 ~~
do you feel are impaired by the lake's aquatic plants? I- °
„i
5. What types of aquatic plants do you feel are most problematic to your use/enjoyment of
the lake? (examples include- lilies, coontail, filamentous algae- see attached photos)
6. There is a difference between the coverage of aquatic plants throughout the lake and the
abundance of algae that is suspended within the water column. Suspended. algae
decreases the clarity of the water, making it appear "green" or "murky" as you look down
into the water.
In considering the clarity of the water column (as opposed to the presence of aquatic
plants), would you say that water clarity has improved, declined or remained basically the
same since you have lived on the lake?
7. Which lake uses described in question #3 do you feel are impaired by the lake's water
clarity?
