One challenge is helping both board members and staff <br />understand their respective organizational roles. In other words, the board needs <br />:~ to continue to focus its attention on larger issues, such as setting organizational <br />~ ~~~~ .r~ goals and defining organizational policies that guide both board and staff actions. <br />~~ , ; ~ ~ ~ In addition to setting goals, a significant board function is to rigorously evaluate <br />i ~~ ~ if goals are being achieved.
