City of Roseville - Housing & Redevelopment Authority Meeting Minutes for January 20...Page 4 of 6 <br /> <br />d) Adoption of Ramsey County Housing & Redevelopment Authority 2004 Priorities for <br />Funding. <br /> <br /> <br />Executive Director Cathy Bennett explained the Ramsey County program, which is consistent <br />with suburban cities have requested. This serves as a communication tool for the County and <br />the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion: Member Millasovich moved, seconded by Member Bean, to adopt the attached <br />resolution recommending priorities for use of Ramsey County Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) funds for 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />f) Approval of Consolidated MHFA Grant Application for MF Housing. <br /> <br /> <br />Seed money for a housing service district is requested. The condo associations need financial <br />assistance with major renovations. The staff will communicate this to the Council. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Marks moved, seconded by Member Kelsey, to approve the submission <br />of a Consolidated Request for Proposal for Multifamily improvement funds. <br /> <br /> <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />g) Approval of Housing Design Funds for LeMay Residence on Autumn Street. <br /> <br /> <br />Executive Director Cathy Bennett explained LeMays met all criteria. The improvement would be <br />$160,000. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Millasovich moved, seconded by Member Kelsey, to approve the <br />issuance of Housing Design Funds in 2004 for the renovation of 1185 Autumn Street, <br />LeMay residence, based upon meeting all the required eligibility criteria. <br /> <br /> <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />Information, Reports & Other Business (Verbal Reports by Staff and Board Members): <br />8. <br /> <br />The Board received the following reports: <br />a) Review Draft HRA Brochure <br /> <br />Executive Director Bennett presented a sample brochure from the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission and is proposing that a similar type of brochure be developed for the HRA and have <br />it completed before the Home & Garden Fair for distribution. <br /> <br />b) Home & Garden Fair <br /> <br />Executive Director Bennett handed out brochures and reminded the HRA Board members of the <br />Home & Garden Fair to be held on Saturday, January 31, 2004, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the <br />Fairview Community Center. Bennett encouraged the Board to attend the fair and if there is <br />enough interest to have a table at the fair to answer questions regarding the HRA and its <br />mission.
