The Board recommended <br />a rear overhang over the doorway and first floor windows. <br /> <br />Executive Director Cathy Bennett displayed the materials used in Applewood Pointe’s United <br />Project, which will be reused in the seven single family homes. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Millasovich moved, seconded by Member Kelsey, to approve the <br />selection of Plan “C” for the corner lot 1 and Plan “F” with design modifications of <br />dormers and columns and Plan “E” as a four-bedroom for the interior lots 2,4,5,7. <br /> <br /> <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />c) Adoption of HRA priority Action Steps for 2004 <br /> <br /> <br />Executive Director Cathy Bennett explained the Implementation Strategies and the high priority <br />action steps. She asked for direction to fund the six highest priorities. Member Kelsey said she <br />hoped to strengthen the communication issues; provide timelines of each issue; continue to work <br />on other issues. <br /> <br />Executive Director Cathy Bennett suggested: <br /> <br />Communication issues: <br />? Strengthen the city’s relationship with local banks, realtors, school districts and non-profit <br />service providers. <br />? Develop a Housing Newsletter <br />? Develop a targeted multi-family renters program to encourage ownership <br />? Produce and HRA informational brochure <br /> <br />Ongoing Issues: <br />? First Time Homebuyer Program <br />? Collaborate with other agencies <br />? Provide professional development opportunities for the HRA Board and staff <br />? Home & Garden Fair <br />? HousingResource Center <br />? Owner Occupied Improvement Loans <br /> <br />New Policy Issues/Programs: <br />? Develop a policy and definition for affordable work force housing <br />? Develop an Apartment Improvement Program <br />? Develop a Town Home and Condominium Improvement Program <br />? Evaluate the use of the Housing Replacement Program <br />? Explore costs and benefit of participating in a quality of life study <br /> <br />Ann Hermes suggested a news release in the local Roseville Review. Chair Majerus requested <br />an HRA Communication Plan, effectiveness, exposure, cost and a clear work plan with <br />benchmarks for annual evaluation. Member Millasovich advised that communication is important <br />but should not take away from the overall goals of the HRA.
