Erosion control measures shall be adequa#ely designed for the site characteristics. They may include staked haybales, <br />diversion channels, sediment ponds, or sediment fences, They shall be installed in accordance with "Ramsey County <br />Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook, Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation District, October 1989" (and as <br />revised in the future), prior to commencement and maintained throughout the project. Ail exposed soil shall be stabilized <br />as soon as possible and no Eater than 72 hours after the completion of the project. Topsoil should be used to re-dress <br />disturbed sail areas and indigenous plant species should be used to revegetate disturbed areas whenever possible. <br />18, A sediment barrier shall be installed around the area of excavation immediately prior to starting the project to limit erosion <br />and turbidity to the affected areas. This barrier involves the use of filter fabric material supported by s#akes or a snow <br />fence. The barrier shall be removed upon completion of the work, after sediment has cansolidated. <br />19. The Permittee is authorized to maintain the approved work to the dimensions herein described. Prior to commencing any <br />maintenance work, the Permittee shall advise the Department of Natural Resources of the extent and method of <br />maintenance. Maintenance work shall not be commenced until germittee receives written approval from the Department <br />20. Excavated material shall not be permanently placed within community designated floodplain areas or shoreland areas, <br />unless all necessary local permits and approvals have been obtained. <br />21. No activity affecting the bed of the protected water may be conducted between April land June 30, to minimize impacts <br />on fish spawning and migration. If work during this time is essential, it shall be done only upon written approvai of the <br />Area Fisheries Manager, at 651-259-5831. <br />22. Structures shall be maintained in good condition.
