Proposal -Sampling Monitoring t~Vells-Woodbridge Neighborhood Porous Pavement, Shoreview
Costs for these future tasks:
Task Hours Cost/Hr. Cost
Pre-construction sampling (2 events} 8 hours 4 hours/event} $75 $600
Post-construction sam ling (2 events/IS` ear 8 hours (4 hours/ event) $75 $600
Transducer and rain gauge installation & periodic
data downloading 4 hours $75 No char e
g
Annual Report 3 hours $75 $225
Additional years of sampling _ _ Future
ro osal
TOTAL: $Z X42$
The benefits of this approach are:
l . Collection of groundwater data for both water quality and water table elevation for a
norJeJ municipal stormwater infiltration project in the Grass Lake WMO.
2. Low cost environmental services and cooperation behveen units of Iocal government to
implement important monitoring efforts that support stormwater infiltration goals.
3. If approved, this partnership between the City, MDH, Ramsey County-Environmental
Services, and Ramsey Conservation District will lead to a low cost program to protect
public drinking water supplies in. the Grass Lake WMO.
4. This type of project combines the issues of surface water, stormwater infiltration, and
groundwater quality and will provide measureable results to document use of a new
stormwater infiltration technology.
In summary, RCD has contributed $1,650 of in-kind services toward the success of this project.
RCD asks that the Grass Lake Watershed Management Organization's Board of Commissioners
consider funding the remainder ($1,425) of this monitoring effort to assure that inf Itrated
stomnvater is not impacting groundwater supplies used for drinking water in the Grass Lake
WMO. We are confident that this proposal is the lowest cost option for completing these tasks.
Please call me at (651) 2.66-7273 with any questions.
Sincerely,

Geoffrey Nash, P.G.
Groundwater Specialist
x:\groundwater\shoreview\woodbridge-Ik Owasso-monit welts-pictures\proposal-grass lake wmo-woodbridge mw sampling.docx
