After meeting with the owners, a plan and cost
estimate was prepared for them if they were interested. The plans are construction grade for the purpose of
installation and applying for cost share through GLWMO.
- Training/Presentation: Coordinated with the City of Roseville for their annual water smart landscaping
presentation they do each spring. Typically the advertisement was for Roseville residents and it was expanded
to promote GLWMO.
- GLWMO Cost Share Program: Overall there was an increase in cost share questions and awareness. There are
more applications out this year than last year. There were more requests for the Technical Assistance compared
to 2008.. 2010 should yield an increase in Cost Share sites, Cost Share projects completed, and cost share
encumbered into 2011. The program is moving forward as expected.
Intern Activities: (Summary)
- Designed raingarden and shoreline projects for homeowners complete with materials and cost estimates.
- Inspected cost share sites that were completed prior to the 2009 season. After the inspection, a report was
written and sent to the landowner identifying the state of their BMP, and if any action was needed.
Conservation Technician: (Summary)
- Designed 1 raingarden project complete with materials and cost estimates.
Urban landscape Specialist: (Summary)
- Presented a Water Smart Landscaping seminar held at Roseville City Hall. The presentation covered ways to
reduce and reuse stormwater.
ActivityReport-GLW MO_2009
