<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1) That the Police Department of the Village of Roseville and the <br />Roseville Village Council shall be responsible for the operation of their <br />Police De partm ent. <br /> <br />2) The Roseville Police Department and the Roseville Police Officers <br />are hereby instructed to disregard all proported orders, directives or regula- <br />tions from the Police Civil Service Commission which deal with the operation <br />of the Police Department as opposed to those regulations of the Police Civil <br />Service Commission concerning employment, promotion, discharge and the <br />suspension of policemen. <br /> <br />3) The Village Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to inform <br />the Village Council as to any present rule or regulation promulgated by the <br />Police Civil Service Commission which appears to be an excess of the authority <br />granted. <br /> <br />4) That two copies of this Resolution be duly certified by the Village <br />Clerk and be forthwith forwarded to the Chief of the Police Department and to <br />the Police Civil Service Commission. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly <br />seconded by member Shields and upon a vote <br />being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Unanimous <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />Whereupon said Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />~(?aQ~ kaL <br /> <br />ayor ) <br />/ <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~ft!~ <br />
