• Learned of and gained knowledge and ongoing guidance relative to the "Abigail Taylor" pool safety bill that became law in 2008 for swimming pool drains, specifically for Rosebrook swimming pool • Met new contractual businesses such as Abrakadoodle, Underwater Adventures, Sports Unlimited, Skyhawks that allowed the planning for and incorporating/providing these creative programming opportunities to the Roseville Community • Were able to coordinate and offer a Statewide Parks and Recreation Commission training session hosted in Roseville at the Roseville Skating Center • Continue to receive a much needed deeper understanding of good customer service practices for ethnic populations, i.e. Latino, Hmong and Somali population • Found out about a new program offered through the SaJai Foundation and were able to incorporate a fitness and health information curriculum into our summer playground program in 2009 to help combat the growing problem of childhood obesity • Discovered a new program in Geo-Caching that we now offer as part of our recreation programs • Learn ongoing rule administration for all MRPA recreational sports that we offer including softball, volleyball, basketball, boot hockey and broomball • Found out about the Cheer America program that is now incorporated into our Parks and Recreation program • Coordinated numerous multi city adult and youth trip offerings (collaborative effort) with surrounding communities • CEU's provided are provided for Certified Professionals Thanks.
