<br /> <br />City of Roseville <br />Ethics Commission Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday, February 10, 2010 <br /> <br />Call to Order: <br />Chairperson Weldon called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br />LuAnne Pederson, Melissa Weldon, Patrick Schmidt, Margo Fjelstad, David Horsager <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br />None <br /> <br />Others Present: <br />City Manager Bill Malinen, City Attorney Mark Gaughan <br /> <br />Approve Minutes of November 4, 2009: <br />Horsager moved, Pederson seconded, approval of the minutes of the November 4, 2009. <br />Ayes all. <br /> <br />Review 2009 Annual Ethics Training Session: <br />Commissioners Pederson and Weldon noted that they liked the Audience Response Units <br />(ARU) method of i nvolving participants. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed use of other trai ners than the City Attorney’s office. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed holding the Ethics training in the spring after the appointment <br />of new Advisory Commission members rather than in the fall. A subcommittee of <br />commissioners Horsager and Pederson will work with staff to try to arrange a one hour <br />breakfast time training in April, if possible, but with a goal of just one training session in <br />2010. <br /> <br />Meeting with City Council <br />The Commission discussed the following issues to address during it’s joint meeting with <br />the City Council: <br />Reasons for training issues <br />Council input on training issues <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that Chair Weldon would be the lead <br />representative for the presentation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
