Terms not defined in this part have the <br />4 meanings given-them in Minnesota Statutes, section 216D.01. <br />5 [For text of subps la to 3, see M.R.] <br />6 Subp. 4. Locate. 1°Locate'° means an operator's markings of <br />7 an underground facility. <br />8 [For text of subps 5 to 6, see M.R.] <br />9 Subp. 7. eet. When used as a noun in this chapter, °°meet'° <br />10 refers to a meeting at the site of proposed excavation requested <br />11 at the time of notice by the excavator with all affected <br />12 underground facility operators to further clarify the precise <br />13 geographic location of excavation, schedule locating, propose <br />14 future contacts, and share other information concerning the <br />15 excavation and facilities. <br />16 Subp. 10. Public right-of-way. "Public right-of-way'° <br />17 means the area on, below, or above a public roadway, highway, <br />18 street, cartway, bicycle lane, and sidewalk in which a <br />19 government unit has an interest, including other rights-of-way <br />20 dedicated for travel purposes and utility easements of <br />21 government units. <br />22 Subp. 12. Service lateral. 11Service lateral" means an <br />23 underground facility that is used to transmit, distribute, or <br />24 furnish gas, electricity, communications, or water from a common <br />25 source to an end-use customer. A service lateral is also an <br />26 underground facility that is used in the removal of wastewater <br />27 from a customer's premises. <br />1 <br />
