Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, Apri126, 2010 <br />Page 14 <br />lined some rebate programs available to residents through various agencies and <br />potential tax credits. <br />Councilmembers strongly encouraged applicable exhibits at the 2011 Roseville <br />Living Smarter Home and Garden Fair. <br />Councilmember Roe suggested further clarification of the proposed language on <br />page 4 of the draft resolution, beginning at line 114, related to specific restrictions <br />for mounting related to roof pitch. <br />Mayor Klausing expressed his concern with revising the proposed language. <br />Mr. Paschke advised that staff was amenable to the proposed language revisions; <br />and Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon concurred that the pro- <br />posed language revisions was appropriate. <br />Councilmember Ihlan expressed preference for language remaining as drafted. <br />Councilmember Johnson expressed no preference for review language in either <br />draft. <br />Roe Amendment, starting at Line 114, page 4 <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, amendment as follows: <br />"... Roof-mounted systems that are visible from the nearest edge of the street <br />frontage right-of--way shall be reviewed and approved by Community Develop- <br />ment staff to ensure the system meets the wind load standards for the roof and <br />there are not major aesthetic impacts with the system to the surrounding proper- <br />ties." <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Johnson; Roe; and Pust. <br />Nays: Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Motion carried. <br />Pust moved, Roe seconded„ adoption of Resolution No. 10807 entitled, "A Reso- <br />lution Establishing a Policy for Review and Approval of Residential Solar Energy <br />Systems;" with a revised resolution presented as a bench handout, and further <br />amended as noted in the previous motion. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Johnson; Roe; Pust; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />f.
