MR. GLENN JOHNSON, 1535 W. County Road B-2: Indicated t.hat.
he and his neighbors feel there are other things that should be
done in their area before thinking about street lighting. The
access road is inadequate, they had been promised a 12 foot
median strip between their service road and County Road B-2 and
only received six feet, and there should be some supervision of
the rapid traffic on county Road B-2. He also presented a
petition t.o the Council with 36 signatures opposing the proposed
improvement bea.een HaInline and Snelling. He further said they
oppose the improvement because it will light the front yards and
the living rooms and bedrooms of many of the homes and will
det.eriorate the value of the homes.

MR. GUSTAFSON, no address given: Asked what the cost
would be to operate and maintain the lights.

MR. GLENN JOHNSON, 1535 w. count.y Road B-2. (Spoke before):
He said that they are already getting a lot of light from the
lights at Snelling Avenue and Highway 36.

MR. MATT R. RUOBONIBMI, 1477 loTest County Road B-2: He
faces ztmmerman Lake and said that the lighting. will light up
the road in front of his home and will spoil the view. He said
the street is no longer a normal village street, but a race
track, and he thought the lighting should be handled in a
different way. Also asked what connection the golf course had
wit.h this street lighting improvement.

MR. OSCAR HUSBY, 2400 North Pascal: Said he strenuously
Objects to the lighting as proposed. In his opinion the light-
ing would benefit only the Dayton Development Corporation.
Further said that the people in his area have already been
IIsacrificed enouqbll. Since he and his neighbors will not be
assessed or taxed for the improvement, he believes t.his is an
indication that they will not be benefit.ed by the improvement.
He said that What. t.hey could use instead of the floodlighting
would be a control of the speed l.f.mii:s on County Road B-2 and a
four foot ledge on t.he six foot buffer between County Road B-2
and the service road to cut down t.he noise level.

MR. HAROLD A. Me CARTY, 1425 W. County Road B-2: Opposed to
the proposed improvement. He said t.hey bought property there and
built homes there because of the view of the golf course and t.he
lake. He and his neighbors feel the lighting will almost elimi-
nate their view of the golf course and the lake and, therefore,
will depreciate the value of t.heir property.
