EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 5th day of January, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Boerigter and <br />Doherty. <br />Variance Board Member Doherty introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION NO. 11 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 88 FOOT SETBACK VARIANCE TO SECTION <br />1004.01A7 (LOCATION) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR DANIEL STEMM, <br />3117 OWASSO BOULEVARD WEST (PF3621) <br />WHEREAS, Daniel Stemm has requested a VARIANCE to Section 1004.O1A7 (Setback <br />Location) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 626 sq. ft. detached accessory <br />building (garage) addition 32 feet from the front property line; and <br />WHEREAS, the Stemm property is Iocated at 3177 Owasso Boulevard West, and legally <br />described as: <br />Lot 3, Block 1, Minnesota Realty Co's Addition <br />PIN 02-29-31-11-0030 <br />WHEREAS, 10004.O1A7 requires an accessory building to be setback the same or greater <br />distance than the principal structure from the front property line on single family zoned property, <br />or in the case of the Stemm parcel 120 feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the Stemm lot has an existing house which is set back 120 feet from the <br />front property line and the proposed accessory structure could not be placed along side or in the <br />rear yard because of topography, slope, vegetation, and impervious coverage of additional <br />driveway; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed location of the accessory structure requires a front setback <br />VARIANCE of 88 feet in accordance with Section 1013 of the Roseville City Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Planner has concluded that "hardships" are present and support can <br />be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to approve an <br />88 foot set back VARIANCE to Section 1004.O1A7 of the Roseville City Code for Daniel <br />Stemm to allow the construction of a 662 sq. ft. detached accessory building at 3117 Owasso <br />Boulevard West, subject to the following conditions: <br />
