EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOARD OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 5th day of January, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Boerigter and <br />Doherty. <br />Variance Board Member Boerigter introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION NO. 10 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 1,441 SQUARE FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION <br />1004.01A6 (MAXIMUM TOTAL SURFACE AREA) AND A 3 FOOT VARIANCE TO <br />SECTION 1004.016 (RESIDENTIAL DIMENSIONAL REQUIEMENTS -SIDE YARD <br />SETBACK OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR LYNN BISHOP, 2789 AGLEN STREET (PF3620) <br />WHEREAS, Lynn Bishop has requested a VARIANCE to 1004.O1A6 (lot coverage and a <br />VARIANCE to Section 1004.016 (side yard setback) of the Roseville City Code to allow the <br />construction of a allow the construction of an attached garage addition; and <br />WHEREAS, the Bishop property is located at 2789 Aglen Street, and legally described <br />as: <br />The South 83.5 feet of the North 1,086.54 feet of the East 1/z of the West 1/a of the Southwest <br />1/a of Section 2, Township 23, Range 29, lying west of Aglen Avenue <br />and excluding the west 193 feet <br />PIN 02-29-23-32-0038 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.O1A6 (Maximum Total Surface Area) limits residential <br />properties to a maximum impervious coverage of 30°Io of the lot size; and <br />WHEREAS, The proposal by Mr. Bishop seeks an increase in the parcel's overall <br />impervious coverage from an allowable 3,297 sq. ft. to a proposed 4,738 sq. ft. <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.016 (Residential Dimensional Requirements -Side Yard <br />Setback) requires a 10 foot minimum side yard (north) setback on the Bishop parcel; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Bishop seeks to encroach 3 feet into the required side <br />yard setback or to a distance 7 feet from the side yard (north) property line; and <br />WHEREAS, the Bishop parcel is currently exceeding the maximum lot coverage <br />requirement due to previous improvements that occurred prior to the implementation of a lot <br />coverage maximum for single family residential parcels and lots; and <br />
