EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BOA OF THE CITX OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 3rd day of August, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Traynor and <br />Doherty. <br />Variance Board Member Traynor introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION N0.24 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST BY <br />.IO LEHR (oF BEITALF OF LEwls LEHR), <br />3135 SANDY HOOK DRIVE, FOR A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1016 <br />(SHORELAND, WETLAND & STO WATER NAGElVIENT) <br />OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE (PF3660). <br />WHEREAS, John Lehr requested approval of a 10 foot V ANCE to Section <br />1016.16A of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 9 foot by 12 foot kitchen <br />addition to the home, and <br />WHEREAS, the Lehr property is located at 3135 Sandy Hook Drive, and legally <br />described as: <br />LOT 11, BLOCK 10, OWASSO SHORES ADDITION <br />PIN: 01-29-23-22-0004 <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 1016.16A (Shoreland -Placement of Structures on Lot) <br />states: When more than one setback applies, structures and facilities shell be located to meet the <br />most restrictive setback. Where structures exist on adjoining lots on both sides of a proposed <br />structure, structure setbacks may be altered without a variance to conform to the average setback <br />of adjoining structures from the ordinary high watermark, provided the proposed building site is <br />not located in a shore impact zone on in a bluff impact zone. The minimum structure setback <br />from the ordinary high watermark of Lake Owasso is 75 feet, and further, <br />EREAS, City Code Section 1016.22B (Additions/Expansions to Non-Conforming <br />Structures) states: All additions or expansions to the outside dimensions of an existing non- <br />conforming structure must meet the setback, height, and other requirements of Sections 1016.14 <br />through 1016.16. Any deviation from these requirements may only be authorized by a variance <br />pursuant to Section 1016.20, and <br />
