EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />VARIANCE BO OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of September, 2005 at 5:00 <br />p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Bakeman and Members Pust and Boerigter. <br />Variance Board Member Pust introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VB RESOLUTION N0.28 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 10 FOOT VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.016 OF <br />THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR OWEN POLIFKA, <br />900 GRANDVIEW AVENUE (PF3671). <br />WHEREAS, Owen Polifka has requested a 10 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.016 <br />(Residential Dwelling Dimensions -Corner Side Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code to <br />allow the construction of a 24 foot by 24 foo detached accessory structure (garage) in the yard <br />area adjacent to Nancy Place; <br />WHEREAS, the Polifka property is located at 900 Grandview Avenue, and legally <br />described as: <br />LOT 1, BLOCK 2, LEE ADDITION <br />PIN: 11-29-23-31-0033 <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 1004.016 requires all structures to be set back a <br />minimum of 30 feet from the corner side yard property line; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal by Mr. Polifka seeks to construct the detached accessory <br />structure in line with the home or at a distance 20 feet from the corner side yard property line <br />adjacent to Nancy Place; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Planner has concluded that "hardships" are present and support can <br />be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to approve <br />a 10 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.016 of the Roseville City Code for Owen Polifka, 900 <br />Grandview Avenue to allow the construction of a 24 foot by 24 foot detached accessory structure <br />(garage), subject to the following conditions: <br />1. The detached accessory structure (garage) shall be set back a minimum of 17 feet <br />from the corner side yard (east) property line adjacent to Nancy Place . <br />
