EXT CT F ~TTE~ FE'T'ING F 'I' E <br />VAl~ NCE B A F 'I' E C~'Y F' 1~ SE I.I, <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Variance Board of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 6th day of June, 2007, <br />at 5:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chair Boerigter and Members Doherty and <br />Martinson; <br />Variance Board Member Doherty introduced~the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />~ RES®LITT'I®l~ 1®T®. 60 <br />A xESOLUTION APPROVING v ANCES To §1012 (GENE <br />REQUIREIVIENTS) OF' TIIE ROSEVILLE, CITY CODE FOR RONALD ANI) <br />SUSAN IIORNBAKER, 2994 ALDINE STREET (P>H'07-025) <br />WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hornbaker have requested VARIANCES to § 1012 <br />(General Requirements); and <br />WHEREAS, this property is addressed as 2994 Aldine Street, and legally <br />described as: <br />~'AIRVIEW IIEIGHTS PLAT 3, LOT 12 BLOCK 6 <br />PIN: 04-29-23-14-0016 <br />WHEREAS, Section 1012.02B(3) (Side Yard Encroachments) allows fences up to <br />6.5 feet in height in the side and rear yards on residential lots; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1012.02B(2) (Front Yard Encroachments) allows fences up <br />to 4 feet in height in the front yard on residential lots; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hornbakers seek to install an 8-foot-tall fence along their side <br />property line, extending into the front yard; this requires a 4-foot height variance for the <br />section offence extending west of the westernmost building line of the principal structure <br />and a 1.5-foot height variance for the remainder of the fence; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Division has concluded that "hardships" are present and <br />support can be given to deviate from the strict requirements of the Roseville City Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville Variance Board, to <br />APPROVE a 4-foot VARIANCE to Section 1012.02B(2), and a 1.5-foot VARIANCE to <br />Section 1012.02B(3) of the City code, subject to the following conditions: <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
