Years of Service Awards,--gift certificates at each five year service interval and a watch at 20 <br />years <br />. Retirement Recognition -- reception with celebration cake and presentation of porcelain rose <br />. Resignation Memento -- reception with celebration cake and a porcelain rose for staff <br />resigning after five years of service <br />City Council <br />The last two city council members lea�ing office were presented framed resolutions of appreciation <br />Others <br />. Most recently, Jerry and Polly Franke were recognized for their service to the community, <br />including Polly's two terms on the city council, with. porcelain rose and wood base with <br />inscription. <br />. Superintendent Carol Ericson was presented a similar recognition upon her retirement <br />Recommendation: <br />For the purpose of generating discussion, the following is suggested as a program of recognition: <br />. Staff recognition <br />-continue present program <br />. Council Members <br />- porcelain rose under domed glass on wood base <br />. Individuals determined by the Council to have significantly contributed to the community <br />- recognition could include a pewter paper weight or a porcelain rose on wood base with a <br />short inscription <br />
