��G� Request for Council Action Date: January 22, 2001 Item Number:C— 2 Depart nt Ap roval Manager Approval Agenda Section � �� Organizational Business Item Description: 2001 Pay Equity Report Back ro� Minnesota State Law requires that public jurisdictions file a Pay Equity Report with the Department of Employee Relations pursuant to the Local Government Pay Equity Act, M.S. 471.991-471.999 and Minnesota Rules, Chapter 3920. The City must file a report on a rotating basis of every three years. The City of Roseville filed the required reports in 1998. A copy of that report is attached. The ne�t report is due on or before January 3 1, 2001 presenting data from the year 2000 to ensure compensation equity among gender classes at the City. Staff will provide that information to the City Council on January 22, 2001. The 2001 Pay Equity Report shows that the City of Roseville is in compliance with the requirements of the law. Financial Implications There are no financial implications associated with approving the report. Staff Recommendation Staff recommends that the City Council approve and submit the Pay Equity Report to ensure continued compliance with Minnesota State Law. Council Action Requested Motion authorizing the Mayor and the Acting City Manager to sign the report, indicating the approval of the City Council.
