Planning Commission and Council review the PUD amendment again when the EAW and comment is complete, prior to the City Council decision on the EAW. 5.3 In late March, the City Council would then review additional Planning Commission recommendations; receive comment on the EAW and decide on the Council's declaration of EAW adequacy and impact. Assuming there are no additional significant environmental impacts, the Council could then also approve the amendment to the Final Planned Unit Development documents. 6.0 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION 6.1 The Planning Commission after a hearing on 7anuary 10,200 1, recommended that the proposed land use (business office) was consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and the Centre Pointe PUD intent. They recommended that the Voluntary EAW be completed based on the proposed uses. The Commission agreed to review the EAW and comments at their March 14, 2001 meehng. 7.0 SUGGESTED COUNCII, ACTION 7.1 By motion, the Council finds the land uses proposed within the Veritas amendment (122,000 s.f. of additional office space) to the e�sting Planned Unit Development to be consistent with the comprehensive plan and the intent of the 1997 Centre Pointe PUD and approves the distribution of the Voluntary EAW for review, with notice to be published concerning its availability. 8.0 FUTURE STEPS: On 7anuary 22,200 1, assuming that the City Council concurs with the Planning Commission, the Council must then approve the distribution of the Voluntary EAW for review. After the 30 to 45 day period in which state, county, local agencies and the public review is completed, and subsequent Planning Commission comments added, the Council must then determine whether there are any significant new environmental impacts. If there are no significant impacts, the Council action may be to provide a"negative declaration" — which means there are no significant impacts that would require further environmental analysis and additional mitigation than what is proposed.
