Proposed Scope of Work ❑ Task 1 - Project Initiation July, 2001 We will meet with City Staff and other involved parties, such as the Ramsey County Parks, local watershed districts, and MN DNR, for a Project initiation Meeting to discuss and review project goals, objectives and the schedule. Public/Agency Participation Roseville Park and Recreation Department staff recognizes that the involving local citizens, advisory committees, environmental groups, and natural resource agency staff is critical to making sound natural resource policy decisions. Our experience in similar projects has shown that strong public involvement leads to greater stakeholder ownership and more effective implementation of natural resource management goals. We suggest the work plan include at least two public meetings in the early stages to inform public officials and city residents about the project and management plan recommendations. Bonestroo staff will participate in up to two meetings during the project's early stages, to assist city staff in providing information and interpreting the inventory and management plans. ❑ Task 2- Assemble Existing Information July 200 1 All existing pertinent natural resource information will be gathered and organized to enable effective use of resources and to target areas for field visitation. In addition, the most recent infrared stereoscopic aerial photography will be obtained for the project area. Infrared photos will be used to map vegetative cover types. The following information will be collected, where available: . DNR Natural Heritage data bases and maps on rare features, including natural communities and endangered plants and animals . National Wetlands Inventory ► DNR Protected Waters and Wetlands Inventory . DNR Fisheries information for Langton and Bennett Lakes . Lake depth profile, drainage basin, and water quality information for Langton and Bennett Lakes ► Ramsey County Soil Survey . Surficial geology data from the MN Geological Survey ► Other applicable surveys and studies The information above will be shared with the Roseville city staff.
