3.0 STAFF COMMENTS <br />In reviewing this request, staff made the following findings: <br />3.1 The Roseville Engineering Department has reviewed the requested vacation of a 13,363 <br />square foot portion of the south side of County Road B-2 adj acent to 1500 County Road <br />B-2 and has determined that the portion being requested for vacation is unnecessary for <br />road right-of-way purposes and could be vacated. <br />3.2 The Engineering Department has determined that there are no public easements necessary <br />to support the street right-of-way vacation. <br />3.3 The City will record the vacation upon approval of the City Council. <br />4.0 STAFF REC01�I1�IENDATION <br />4.1 Based on the findings outlined in Section 3.1 through 33 of this report, staff recommends <br />approval of the request for vacation of a portion of County Road B-2 with the attached <br />legal description and map for property located at 1500 County Road B-2. <br />5.0 PLANNING CO�I�IISSION CONSIDERATION/ACTION <br />5.1 On February 14, 2001, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing <br />regarding MnDOT's request to vacate a portion of County Road B-2 adj acent their <br />facility at 1500 County Road B-2. No citizens were present to address the Commission <br />and the Commission only had minor questions of staff (see minutes). <br />5.2 The Commission recommended (5-O) to approval of the request for vacation of a portion <br />of County Road B-2 adjacent to 1500 County Road B-2, with the attached legal <br />description and map and based on the findings outlined in Section 3.1 — 33 of this report. <br />6.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />6.1 By resolution approve (approve with modifications or deny) the request by N1nD4T for <br />vacation of a certain portion of County Road B-2 directly adjacent to 1500 County Road <br />B-2, based on the findings outlined in Section 3(above). <br />Prepared by: Thomas Pascbke (490-2236) <br />Attachments: Properry location map; aerial photo; right-of-way vacation map and legal description. <br />60-day Time Limit Application accepted on January 8,200 1; Deadline for Action March 9,200 1. <br />PF3285 • RCA (03 1201) • Page 2 of 2 <br />
