EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due ca11 and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 26th day of 7une 2000, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.02D5 (DWELLING DIMENSIONS AND APPEARANCES AND HEIGHT, FRONTAGE, YARD AND LOT AREA REQUIREMENTS IN R-1 DISTRICTS) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2335 DALE STREET (PF 3319). WHEREAS, the City of Roseville Fire Department has requested approval of a lot line variance to allow an eight (8) foot encroachment into a corner side yard to allow for the construction of a safety e�t stairway from the second level to e�terior ground floor, at the Fire Department Station #3, 2335 Dale Street, said property being legally described as: The South 30 feet of the North 164 feet of the East 325 feet except the South 3 feet of the West 78 feet thereof, of Lot 12, Copes Subd�vision of Lot 1 of Copes Subd�vision of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 29, Range 23, Ramsey County, according to the plat thereof WHEREAS, Section 100�.02D requires a 30 front yard setback for all principle structures; and WHEREAS, the 8 foot wide, by 19 feet long stairwell would be located 8 feet into the required 30 foot rear yard setback (with a remaining setback of 22' to the north properiy line); and WHEREAS, in order to meet state and city building and life safety codes the fire station is required to ha�e a second stair well and the Fire Department has demonstrated the need for dormitory capacity on the second level of the Station; and WHEREAS, the City and Fire staff ha�e determined that no other side of the building meets the code for separation NOW, TI�REFORE BE TT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission, based on findings as indicated in the 7une 13, 2001 proj ect report hereby recommends, to the City Council, approval of the request, by the Roseville Fire Department, for an eight foot corner side yard setback variance from Section 1004.02D5 subject to the following conditions: Page 1 of 2
