REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION Date: 06/26/01 Item No: C-12 Approval: Manager Approved: Agenda Section: S-Irf CONSENT Item Description: City initiated request for a 60-day plan review extension regarding the request by Roselawn Cemetery for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of a crematory on the cemetery grounds adjacent to the existing office and garage (PF33 15). 1.0 REQUESTED ACTION 11 The Community Development Department is seeking a e�tension to the 60-day plan review time line in order to provide additional information to the Planning Commission allowing to appropriately act of the conditional use permit request by Roselawn Cemetery. 2.0 SACKGROUND 2.1 On June 13, 2001, the Roseville Planning Commission continues the conditional use permit by Roselawn Cemetery for an additional 30 days. The continuation was approved in order to provide the Commission with details regarding the crematory units and the emissions they create. 22 The Planning Commission will not reopen the public hearing until July 11,200 1, which is two days past the 60-day review deadline. Hence, an e�tension is necessary to properly accommodate the Planning Commission's action. 3.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION 3.1 Due to the lack of days remaining within the initial 60-day plan review time line, staff requests that a 60-day plan review e�tension be approved in order to provide the Planning Commission with the information request at their June 13, 2001 meeting pertinent to the conditional use permit request by Roselawn Cemetery's for a crematory on the premises. 4.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION 4.1 Adopt a resolution to approve a 60-day e�tension to the plan review deadline for the request by Roselawn Cemetery (PF33 15) from July 9, 2001 to September 9, 2001.
