• improves the current and future environment, <br />. preserves the land use integrity of Langton Lake and Oasis Pond, <br />. creates an appealing entry into the City, <br />. provides opportunities for housing that matches the needs of Twin Lakes <br />employees, and <br />. enhances public pathways and new amenities a11 in a smart growth pattern of <br />redevelopment. <br />7.5 If approved, staff will submit the Twin Lakes Master Plan amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan, including the AUAR, comment letters and mitigation plan to the <br />Metropolitan Council for review and comment as required by State Statute. <br />7.6 In addition, staff will prepare a list of next steps for Council review in July to encourage <br />the timely implementation of the Twin Lakes Master Plan and to maximize the public <br />support and private investment in the area. <br />8.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTIONS: <br />8.1 Open the public hearing and invite public comment regarding the findings of the <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment and the AUAR, consecutively. <br />8.2 By resolution (draft attached), approve the final amendment of the Comprehensive <br />Plan for the Twin Lakes Business Park area from "Business" and "Industrial" to <br />"Business Park" as described in the Twin Lakes Master Plan dated June 26, 2001 and <br />as amended by Council with the Scenario # L The amendment shall also include the <br />findings of the AUAR and mitigation plan.
