Perry <br />Noland has requested approval of applicable parking and paving setback <br />variances for his Roseville Auto Repair Shop located at 2 150 Hamline Avenue in <br />order to renovate the e�sting parking and landscaping on the site. <br />Perry Noland explained his revised site plans to include oil storage tanks and <br />snow plowing along the east property line. There are no gas tanks underground <br />on the site. He will construct or reconstruct 8' fencing along the east and south <br />side (2 foot setback on south side). He will landscape the site. The asphalt will <br />be removed and will be started over. <br />Member Mulder stated the setback variances would be 8 feet on the east and <br />south, allowing parking to within two feet along the south side. <br />Chair Rhody explained the variance matrix. <br />Member Olson asked what was done with a manhole at the back of the building <br />(No longer used; the area is fenced on). <br />Member Duncan stated it would look better than currently if the variances are <br />approved. <br />Mr. Noland said a curb cut minimum of 40' from intersection is difficult, but <br />could be done to meet Code. <br />Member Traynor asked procedural questions. <br />There was no comment from the public. Chair Rhody closed the hearing. <br />4o Mr. Noland expressed concern with landscaping to be done until after the County <br />41 redoes the comer. The county will have the work done by the end of summer, <br />42 200 L The landscape plan could be done in fall, 2001. <br />43 <br />44 Motion: Motion by Member Mulder, second by Member Cunningham, to <br />4s recommend approval of variances requested by Perry Noland from applicable <br />46 parking and paving setback requirements for his Roseville Auto Repair Shop <br />4� located at 2 150 Hamline Avenue, as stated in the project report Section 3.6, in <br />
