REQiTEST FOR COUNCII, ACTION Date: 7/23i01 <br />Item No.: x-1 <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed Agenda Section <br />��/�1 ��� - ��x-�� Hearings <br />f� <br />Description: �GSH Lodging, L.L.C. dba Courtyard by Marriott Roseville's application for- <br />On-Sale and Special Sunday liquor licenses at 2905 Centre Point Drive. <br />Background <br />GSH Lodging, L.L.C. dba Courtyard by Marriott Roseville has applied for On-Sale and Special <br />Sunday liquor licenses at 2905 Centre Point Drive. The Police Chief has reviewed the records and <br />finds no reason for denial of the licenses. The City Attorney will review the applications prior to the <br />issuance of the licenses to ensure they are in order. A representative from GSH Lodging, L.L.C. dba <br />Couriyard by Marriott Roseville will attend the hearing to answer any questions the Council may <br />have. <br />The City currently has twenty-two (22) On-Sa1e liquor licenses issued. The maximum number of <br />On-Sale liquor licenses allowed is thiriy (30). <br />Financial Implications <br />The revenue that is generated from the license fees collected is used to offset the cost of police <br />compliance checks, background investigations, enforcement of liquor laws, and license <br />administration. <br />Recommendations <br />It is recommended that the license be approved for the period 7anuary l, 2001 t� December 3 l, <br />2001. <br />Council Action <br />Motion approving/denying the On-Sale and Special Sunday Licenses for GSH Lodging, L.L.C. dba <br />Courtyard by Marriott Roseville at 2905 Centre Point Drive for the year ending December 3 1, 2001. <br />
