REQUEST FOR COUNCII, ACTION <br />�t proval <br />l` <br />Manager Reviewed <br />,��� � ����' <br />Date: 7/23/O1 <br />Item No.: H- 2 <br />Agenda Section <br />Hearings <br />Description: St. Paul Bagelry's application for On-Sale Wine license and 3.2 Beer License <br />at 1702 Lexington Avenue. <br />Background <br />St. Paul Bagelry has applied for an On-Sa1e Wine License for establishments with 75 seats or less <br />and a 32 Beer License at 1702 Le�ngton Avenue. The Police Chief has reviewed the records and <br />finds no reason for denial of the licenses. The City Attorney will review the applications prior to the <br />issuance of the licenses to ensure they are in order. A representative from St. Paul Bagelry will <br />attend the hearing to answer any questions the Council may ha�e. <br />Financial Implications <br />The revenue that is generated from the license fees collected is used to offset the cost of police <br />compliance checks, background investigations, enforcement of liquor laws, and license <br />administration. <br />Recommendations <br />It is recommended that the license be approved for the period 7anuary 1,200 1 thru December 3 l, <br />2001. <br />Council Action <br />Motion approving/denying the On-Sa1e Wine License for Establishments with 75 seats or less and <br />the 32 Beer License for St. Paul Bagelry for the year ending December 3 1, 2001. <br />
