EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />***************** <br />Pursuant to due ca11 and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, NTinnesota was duly held on the 27th day of August, <br />2001, at 6:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: and , and the following were absent: . <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION <br />2001 Joint Powers Agreement for Replacement Elections System <br />WHEREAS, current election equipment was purchased in 1988 and is at the end of its <br />life expectancy; <br />WHEREAS, the current election equipment is accurate, but paper jams and other <br />problems cause unnecessary delays in the voting process and requires <br />more election-day maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, an ad hoc committee of city staff from several Ramsey communities <br />recommend purchasing new optic scan equipment through Global <br />Elections Systems. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Joint Powers Agreement for <br />Replacement Elections system, be adopted. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member, <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in fa�or thereof : and <br />Nays: and the following voted against the same:. <br />
