2000-2001 Municipalities Challenge grant <br />Application Number MC01-0-02 <br />GRANT AGREEMENT <br />BY AND BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN REGIONAL ARTS COUNCIL <br />AND <br />Roseville Parks and Recreation <br />THIS AGREEMENT is effective the 13th of June, 2001, by and between the Metropolitan Regional <br />Arts Council (hereafter referred to as MRAC) and Roseville Parks and Recreation (hereafter <br />referred to as "Grantee"). <br />WHEREAS, the MRAC has received block grant funds from the Minnesota State Legislature to <br />distribute to applicants for the purpose of stimulating and encouraging the creation, performance, <br />and appreciation of .the arts in the seven-county metropolitan area of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the Grantee has applied to the MRAC for a Municipalities Challenge grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the MRAC has found the Grantee's project to meet or exceed the established review <br />criteria and that the project will stimulate and encourage the creation, performance and <br />appreciation of the arts in the seven county metropolitan region of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the MRAC desires to assist the Grantee by awarding a Municipalities Challenge grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the MRAC and the Grantee agree as follows: <br />I. GRANT AMOUNT <br />A. Total Grant Amount. The MRAC shall pay to the grantee or to the grantee's fiscal agent, if applicable, an <br />amount not to exceed $6000. Grant funds shall be released within 45 days of receipt of: <br />1. Statement of municipal financial contribution from most recently completed fiscal year ending on or before <br />June 30,2001. <br />2. Statement of new municipal financial contribution (up to $6,000). <br />If the full amount indicated in Exhibit A is not raised by June 1, 2002, grantee may receive only the amount of <br />municipal funds raised to date. <br />II. USE OF GRANT FUNDS <br />A. Authorized Use of Grant Funds. The project described in Exhibit A was recommended and approved for <br />funding by panel and board based on the information and description contained in Exhibit A. Grantee is authorized to <br />use the grant funds only to carry out the project in accordance with the specifications contained in Exhibit A. Grant <br />awards through this program may not be used to replace funding for projects previously funded through MRAC or <br />grantee's municipality. Any changes to the content of the project must be reviewed and approved in advance by MRAC <br />staff. Such changes not reviewed and approved in advance by MRAC staff may be constitute a violation of the <br />authorized use of grant funds. <br />B. Unauthorized Use of Grant Funds. Upon a finding by the MRAC that the Grantee has made an <br />unauthorized use of grants funds or that the Grantee received grant funds but failed to submit required narrative <br />summary and financial reports, and upon a demand by the MRAC for repayment, the Grantee agrees to promptly <br />repay such amounts to the M1�°�C• <br />page 1 of 3 <br />
