� � -�:,,� -� ,� � <br />� <br />i'�� � �� �� �� <br />�{ �,����`�������� �,����� ��� <br />195 ti'�oodlynn Avenue <br />Roseville, Mn., 55113 <br />August 20, 2001 <br />C��y of Roseville <br />Parks and Playgrounds Dept. <br />Roseville, Mn., 55113 <br />Dear Sirs and Mesdames: <br />I was a good friend of Muriel Sahlin for over 40 years; <br />we met at a Swedish class, later took china painting <br />classes together, and through the years became the best <br />of friends. <br />In the latter years, Muriel was wheel-chair bound, and <br />it was at that time that I visited Muriel each week, <br />and her caregiver, Reggie Akenji, would drive her <br />past the Roseville parks; she was particularly inter- <br />ested in the Arboretum, and one time when I was in the <br />car, she wanted to drive past the Arboretum to see how <br />much progress had been done. <br />She was a wonderful woman; she had many medical prob- <br />lems, but never did you hear her complain; in fact, <br />she would put a smile on anyone who visited her, and I <br />very often went away thinking how fortunate I was to <br />have her for my friend! <br />I would like to suggest that a part of the Roseville <br />parks be named after her, and it would be fitting to <br />have a part of the Arboretum named after her.
