City of <br />1��, <br />`�.�,,,, <br />Policy No. <br />Departments: Community Development, Public Works, Parks and Recreation <br />Policy Title: Project Notification <br />Background Statement: The City serves as a liaison for many different kinds of projects. Each project <br />and department has in the past had its own set of notification criteria, some are <br />governed by State statutes, and others are based on past City practice. In the <br />interest of serving our residents and properiy owners, we will set forth a policy <br />that pulls together all notification practices into one approved policy. <br />Policy Statement: Provide information to property owners regarding projects proposed by the City <br />Public Works, Community Development, and Park and Recreation Departments <br />in a consistent, and customer oriented manner. <br />Procedure Statement: It shall be the policy of the City to include the following areas for General <br />Notification: <br />. Send notification to all properiy owners abutting a street proposed for <br />reconstruction or major maintenance. <br />. Send notification to all properties being assessed for a proposed project. <br />. Send notification to all property owners within the neighborhood, as <br />defined by the City's Pa�ement Management Program neighborhood map, <br />for construction of Public Works improvements within City Parks or on <br />other City property. <br />. Send notification to all property owners within 350 feet of a proposed City <br />Pathway Project, land use change, corridor study area, or other City <br />property projects. <br />. Send notification to all properties within a 3-block area of affected park site <br />for all major park projects. <br />. Send additional project notification as required by state law or federal <br />regulation. <br />All notification shall be postmarked at least 10 days in advance of the proposed <br />meeting or project start date to allow time for public response. (or such greater <br />time notice as may be required by state law or federal regulation.) <br />In addition to General Notif�ication, we shall always e�tend the following <br />courtesies to residents: <br />. Hold a Public Information meeting for all Public Works and, when <br />appropriate, new development projects prior to the City Council Public <br />Hearing. (Notification for these meetings shall depend on the general <br />notification section above) <br />. Include residents in adjacent Cities in these notification areas to a minimum <br />radius of 350 feet from the proposed project. <br />. Provide press releases to the Official City newspaper regarding Public <br />Improvement projects, Public Information meetings, and Public Hearings. <br />. Post information as it becomes a�ailable on the City of Roseville website. <br />. Provide staff and/or developer e-mail addresses, phone numbers and fax <br />numbers on all communications and correspondence to facilitate specific <br />follow-up information <br />Last printed 9/6/0 1 2: 16 PM <br />
