A copy of the project list is attached. At <br />the public hearings, each individual assessment roll was presented and discussed. A separate <br />hearing was held for each improvement, at which time testimony was taken from affected <br />property owners. Following each hearing, the Council continued final action to the October 8, <br />200 1, meeting. <br />The following is a description of each of the objections raised for each individual project on <br />September 24, 2001, followed by a staff analysis and recommendation. <br />2000 Contract A: City Prolect 00-02 Oblections <br />1) Written Objection: Kristin Michaelson, 705 Grandview Avenue W. <br />PIN and Proposed Assessment: 11-29-23-41-0016 <br />$1,624.80 <br />Kristin is concerned about damage to her sprinkler system during the project. The total cost <br />for repairs was $1,164.77. Since the City's Contractor did the damage during the course of <br />the reconstruction of the road, we will reimburse her for the work done to repair the damages <br />to the system. <br />Recommendation: No change in Assessment <br />2) Oral Objection: Ben Lindberg, 405 Brooks <br />PIN and Proposed Assessment: 11-29-23-41-0016 <br />�1,624.80 <br />NIr. Lindberg voiced a concern regarding the reconstruction of the portion of his driveway <br />removed in conjunction with this reconstruction project. We have reviewed the site and have <br />referred it to our Contractor as a Warranty replacement item. We have given the Contractor a <br />deadline of the end of October. If it is not taken care of, we will hire another contractor to <br />perform the work and deduct the cost from the Contractor's retainage on this contract. Final <br />Payment will not be brought to the Council until this is issue is resolved. <br />Recommendation: No change in Assessment <br />
